in the differences
With Halloween coming up, I’d been thinking about costumes. Then I thought about Second Life®. It is in the differences we suddenly notice. Our happiness doesn’t depend on who we are, where we are, how much more than each other we have, or what we look like. We realize it is our contribution to the world in which we live that shows who we are. Its the capacity of what we can do to change the lives of others that leads us to do good. SL gives you the easy ablity to make that impact. Some choose negative, but most choose positive.
This is something I’ve realized over my years in SL and in first life. When you give a person the ability to be who they really are they can find the person they want to be. When the mold about you breaks, your able to see objectively. It may not happen for everyone. You have to take it seriously.
Everyone who says anything bad about virtual worlds today simply doesn’t take them seriously. I can understand that. There’s a lot of things that many people don’t take seriously enough.
Some important reminders
Be good to your body. It is your first life avatar and you can’t re-log! Do something creative, don’t let the new found confidence go to waste. Remember all your friends in both lives. Make friends in both lives. Be kind always.
